Endings and Transformations

“It’s only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth — and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.”
~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Death.

An unclear word. It can be described as an end to the biological life or simply put the ceasation of the heartbeat of a person. It may also mean that it is the end of a cycle. The word death does not only mean physical death or end. It can also mean a symbol of a transformation. A new beginning.

Recently, my friend's Dad passed away. My teammates and I went to and paid our respect. We were able to attend the necrological services for her Dad. it is overwhelming and touching to see how many people appreciated and loved her Dad. It makes you feel sad for the loss of a good person but happy at the same time that a good person was able to leave a mark. It makes you appreciate life more and appreciate the people around you.

There are also things that are meant to end or should I say never meant to start at all. I had an encounter with a used-to-be friend. I say we got too close for comfort and I had to leave. I don't feel any loss at all. I guess its because he was never a friend to begin with. Too much assumption and ego from him is something I cannot take. I gave the closure that was needed though there are things that are best left unsaid.

Things will never be the same again. Life goes on...

and I will continue to move on...
